Khan Tank Cleaning started in 2005 with one office in DHA Phase 2 and one idea: that cleaning water tanks should be a trade in its own right, done with proper equipment by people who do nothing else. Twenty years later we work from two branches and clean tanks for households, apartment buildings, schools, hotels and factories across the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is the Khan Tank Cleaning history in Karachi, told plainly: where we began, what changed in the city’s water over those years, what we learned from it, and how we work today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company was founded by Mateen Khan<\/a>, who still owns it and oversees quality control at both branches. In 2005 a tank in Karachi was cleaned, if at all, by a labourer with a rope and a brush. The job was treated as a chore, not a health measure, and nobody left a record of what had been done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The founding idea was to treat it as a specialist service instead. That meant three decisions which still define the company: do only tank cleaning, invest in equipment that removes what a brush cannot, and put the work in writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our own story makes more sense set against what was happening to Karachi’s water.
